Things are looking up, friends. At least meteorologically. Is that a word? No. Does it matter? No. What does matter is that there is tons of good stuff happening this weekend. Music, dancing, art, Where’s Waldo… more music, more dancing.

Ah, St. Patrick’s Day. That one day of the year when everyone is Irish. Also, that one day of the year when everyone thinks “being Irish” means painting shamrocks on their faces drinking cheap domestic beer. Dispatches From New Jersey And Beyond, Way Beyond: A Conversation With Conservative Man

Conservative Man wheel into town this Saturday for the release of their eponymous EP. Their journey has been long, and quite strange if you can believe the stories, but their music swells through the speakers like a smug celebration.

Saturday, August 29th, 2009: “YOU HAVE NO EXCUSE NOT TO COME OUT TONIGHT.”

This Saturday, August 29th, we’re gonna be running around Boston like chickens with our heads cut off and there’s NO GOOD REASON why you shouldn’t be, too, as this is one EPIC EVENING OF MUSIC!  It doesn’t matter if you’re situated way the hell out in Forest Hills or you’re twiddling your thumbs in the [...]

After we found Joey Zehr and Joe Guese upstairs stringing guitars and answering emails, we settled down with the boys at the tables that now stand in place of the stage of the former Paradise Lounge. That was the very stage where The Click Five had their first residency back when they were shacking up in Allston and finishing up at Berklee, and we know now that there couldn’t be a more perfect backdrop for a conversation with a Boston band about the journey they’ve made between their first days playing together and the level of international fame they’ve reached.

The Luxury TPB Interview: Girly Drinks, Gaiking Tattoos and All “In The Wake of What Won’t Change”

The past year has been a good one for the Luxury. Between playing for a packed house at the BankNorth Garden last August while opening for Coldplay, snagging the spotlight and the coveted title at WBCN’S reputable Rock N’ Roll Rumble and putting the finishing touches on In the Wake of What Won’t Change, their highly anticipated sophomore album, this Boston-based Brit pop quintet is in a prime position for musical prowess of epic proportions.
