Coming to help you work it out, may we present The Fire and Reason, electro/baile-funk/dance carnival from New York. The easy-on-the-eyes duo are coming to Boston for a performance with Bodega Girls at Cool Ranch on June 30th. We got to drill them for a few tibdits of information before they make you dance. The imagery of waves is one of the strongest in music, from the way sound is visualized on a longitudinal wave, to how a crowd seems to bounce and ripple when a song really hits it’s stride. Ocean waves are cyclical, crashing in and roiling back out. Truly good albums–the kind that only get better with every listen regardless of when they were recorded–find a way to envelope a listener in waves from the speaker, eliciting a new response every time.

So, it is only appropriate that Boston bandmates Tim Ryan, Andre Obin and Tucker Dawson are called Endless Wave.

They may be married, but George Michael Jackson and Merica Lee are not exactly Mates of State.

Local electro badasses Bodega Girls have gained a following ’round these parts for their monthly Lo-Fi Hedonistic Dance Parties at the Middlesex Lounge. On the last Wednesday of each month, the ‘Girls present writhing clubgoers with a full-on multimedia assault which often includes, but is not limited to: decidedly NSFW video (or, inexplicably, Barbarella), digital beats, ukulele, signature cocktails (Coke Classic + red wine anyone?) and male toplessness.
