Jessie talks silky keyboards and Swedish cheese with Au Revoir Simone

A fan of the Brooklyn-based trio since their 2005 debut, Verses of Comfort, Assurance and Salvation, finally getting to meet the ladies behind the pulsating piano-pop made me nervous—mostly because I was afraid I might get a bit “fangirl,” but I also worried that they wouldn’t be the lovely people that I had imagined weaving their rose-tinted, crystalline voices and tinkling synth melodies into my perfect summer soundtrack.
