Even if you missed the Italian classic Bicycle Thieves last weekend, it’s not too late to pedal over to the Brattle for cycling-themed cinema. The Bicycle Film Festival Boston will be rolling through Harvard Square on Saturday, November 21st, starting at 5pm.

Movies and bikes are a man-and-machine match made in heaven, and this eclectic international program of films documents and celebrates all fast-moving things on two wheels. Locals contribute It Ain’t That Serious, a short by Steve Schinnerer featuring the guys from Somerville bike shop Open, (owner Joshua Kampa also happens to be coordinating the event), but I have to say that my money is going on One Less Horse, a 3-minute French short in which “Three horse polo players go head to head with three bike polo players”– imagine the carnage!

A pass for the whole festival is $22; each of the three 2-hour programs costs $10. Tickets are available online or at the door and, unless you’re too sore from all of that watching other people bike, there’s an after-party at Flat Top Johnny’s in Kendall Square.

Kick off the weekend with a party at Goldsprints at Middlesex Lounge in Central Square on Friday night, also put together by the dynamo-like festival organizers.
